Moldovan parliament speaker has meeting with new Ambassador of Azerbaijan

20.02.2024 Întrevederea Președintelui Parlamentului Republicii Moldova, Igor Grosu, cu E.S. Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, Ambasador Extraordinar şi Plenipotențiar al Republicii Azerbaidjan în R. Moldova

Chisinau, 20 February, 2024 - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today had a meeting with new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova Ulvi Vagif oglu Bakhshaliyev.

The speaker wished the ambassador success in the new diplomatic mission, noting that Moldova and Azerbaijan had managed to establish good inter-parliamentary relations in the last years. The officials agreed on boosting this dialogue.  

„We are interested, in continuation, in cooperating in the energy sector, in the context of our efforts of diversifying the providers of energy resources. We also have potential of dialogue in such fields as agriculture and investments,’’ Igor Grosu said at the discussions. Another subject tackled was the situation in the region, as well as the importance of observing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each state.    

For his part, the ambassador informed that four Baku-Chisinau flights would be weekly made in the near future.
